My computer monitor is on the blink. Every dark area of an image appears with bright green neon highlights. I haven't bothered to download my images of Madrid, nor have I been viewing images on my favorite website, flickr.com. I have a 21-in. flat-panel display and under normal circumstances images appear with brilliant colors and sharp resolution. I've done a bit of research on this phenomenon and the results are not very encouraging. This may be a case of dead pixels, i.e. this is an irreversible irrepairable problem. Or there may be a problem with the lightsource engine. No way I could fix that. And, sob, sniff, the display is no longer under warranty. I've sent an email off to Formac, the manufacturer, and hope they respond with some positive feedback.
