Today is a Japanese national holiday: Respect for the Aged Day. I don't really know what is done to observe this holiday. Most office workers have the day off, banks are closed, but stores and most other businesses that offer a public service are open. It's been a dull dreary rainy day. Brad had to go in to work -- he works on Japanese national holidays, but is off on American holidays. I've been catching up on the laundry and email.
