Clean Up Time and Another Goodbye

Spent the morning on base doing the laundry. Ugh! Met Jean Smith in the afternoon. She gave me a nice little book of photos of cats and treated me to lunch at Catwalk Cafe. It was her first time there and I introduced her to the wonderful bacon,brie and avocado salad and the delicious cream scones. We were going to make the rounds of the charity shops in town but it was just too damn hot. We walked over to Valley Gardens and found a bench in the shade, sat and chatted as we watched the ducks in the pond. Later I bid her a fond farewell. She has been a good friend here and I do hope to stay in touch.
