London Again
Malcolm prepared our breakfast for us in his kitchen while we sat at the table nearby. He is a nice, chatty fellow. After breakfast he dropped us off at the Hampton rail station. What should have been a quick ride into London turned into a 2-hour hassle. We took the train to Wimbledon where we should have been able to hop onto a tube to Gloucester Road but the trains running in that direction never showed up! We ended up having to catch the tube to Earl's Court and then get off and wait for another to go one more stop. Difficult to explain why it had to be that way but a typical example of the frustratingly inadequate public transport in London.
Checked into our hotel. Nice big room with AC!!! Yay!!! What a relief, because it was boiling hot in London today.
Went to the V&A, missed meeting up with Melanie but enjoyed our visit nonetheless.
Dinner at Wagamama.
